The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors' (APHC) annual National Plumbing and Heating Weekend is set to address the impending announcement regarding the reformed gas installer registration scheme.

A keynote address from the director of utilities interventions at the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), Les Philpott, is expected to attract the attention of many plumbing contractors who will be affected by the changes.

The seminar is scheduled for June 13th and 14th at the Queen's Hotel in Leeds.

Clive Dickin, chief executive of APHC, commented: "We are delighted to have put together such a fascinating, relevant and topical weekend. It means members of the industry can catch up on all the latest information relevant to them in just one day.

"The speakers we have confirmed represent a real coup for the industry."

The HSE recently warned landlords to use only CORGI registered gas fitters following the prosecution of one landlord for breaching regulations by carrying out work himself.
