Some workers 'do not trust boss over credit crunch'
Posted on 20 October 2008
Some British workers do not trust their bosses to keep them up-to-date with important information during the current economic climate, according to a source.
A study carried out by Aziz Corporation on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, found 74 per cent of workers believed their employer would not inform them of any financial problems within the company, reported the Workplace Law Network.
Khalid Aziz, chairman of the Aziz Corporation, stated members of staff could lose confidence in their boss and workplace if they are kept in the dark regarding any arising situations.
He added: "The more up-front a company is with its employees, the greater confidence they will have in its prospects for the future."
Last week, research published by professional services giant PricewaterhouseCoopers claimed some small and medium-sized businesses have not measured or reviewed policies regarding the security of confidential information during the last 12 months.
